And just like that- 4 years have gone by

Image
My last blog post was published 4 years ago. I repeat- Four Years Ago. I still need to digest this number. So much has happened in those 4 years, from changing jobs (but always staying within the Human Resources field, which I love), studying Coaching, worldwide pandemic that has changed everything, a world that is now going into recession.. But 2 things have not changed for me.  My love for Barcelona , where I have been living now for 9 years, and my love of all things beauty and make up . Yes, yes, Sephora is still my favorite place to go too. Anytime. Anywhere. Casa Batlló, Barcelona SEPHORA FLAGSHIP TRIANGLE, Barcelona And I'm not sure where this blog should go next. In a world ruled by YouTube, Instagram and TikTok, the 'old' written blogs seem to have been put aside to rest. Everyone wants quick, live and visual messages and experiences, and not long and thorough written reviews about beauty products. But I could be wrong, and who knows, maybe there is still an audien

Where was I...

Image
I have been absent from here for quite some time, and the main reason was that after 6 years of writing my blog- I felt I didn't want to anymore. 6 years of creating content, reviewing so many beauty products, being active on Facebook and Instagram- have finally led me to the question: Why bother?  In today's virtual beauty world that is controlled by YouTubers, where everything is about sponsorship's, ads and numbers, I felt out of place. I always said that this is my hobby and I will continue writing my blog only as long as it's fun, and it wasn't fun anymore. So I stopped. However, not blogging for the past 8 months was hard for me because I´ve continued to buy and use great new makeup, and not documenting, filming, telling you about it and share my experience, definitely felt strange. I do believe that there is still room for blogs on the internet, since watching a YouTube video demands making the time and the place for it, while reading a blogpost can

Too Faced Peaches and Cream collection

Image
Too Faced have been a never ending source for collections in the last few years. Some of the collections were nice, some were boring, some were disappointing and some, such as the Sweet peach and the P eaches and cream collections you will see here, were simply great! It was so hard to choose which products to buy from this collection, because I wanted them all.  At the end although I decided to focus mostly on the base products, yet couldn't skip the beautiful White peach eye shadow palette. All of the Peaches and Cream products are heavily scented, which is a big plus for me since I love the smell of peaches and sweet fig, but might be problematic for those of you who do not like scent in their make up products. The packaging is also nicely done, and all and all this is one of the greatest collections that have been launched last year.     Peaches and cream collection Primed & peachy Cooling matte perfecting primer Primed & peachy

Marc Jacobs Beauty The Wild One Eye-Conic 20 Eyeshadow Palette

Image
I have reviewed Marc Jacobs Beauty products in the past and I think that this is one of those high end brands that actually delivers. From the luxurious packaging to the high quality of the products, this is a great brand.  For C hristmas 2015 the  Style Eye-Con No. 20 Eyeshadow Palette was first launched, then f or C hristmas 2016 they launched the   About Last Night Style Eye-Con 20 Eyeshadow Palette, and for Christmas 2017  they continued with the tradition and launched   The Wild One Eye-Conic 20 Eyeshadow Palette.  As I've stated in my previous post , I'm over big eyeshadow palette, and that's why I've skipped the 2015 and 2016 editions. However, when I saw the 2017 edition I simply couldn't resist. The color combination is perfect, it offers endless look possibilities and the slick packaging is just up my ally. As fitted for a brand such as Marc Jacobs Beauty, the price tag on this palette was high- 95 Euros, but if you divide it by 20 eyeshadows an

My first ColourPop order!

Image
ColourPop is a Los Angeles based company, who since founded on 2014, has been growing steadily and today offers a variety of makeup products. I find them particularly interesting for 2 main reasons: The first is their very reasonable prices, it is hard to find a quality eyeshadow palette that only cost 16$, and the second is the fact that they have international shipping, including to Spain, which makes them accessible to me. So why did it take me so long to make an order from the  ColourPop web site , you might ask? Well, when you live right next to the largest Sephora store in Europe, there are always bigger temptations at your reach which take priority over online orders. But one evening at the beginning of February I was watching a YouTube video of one of my favorites Spanish YouTuber who recommended one of the  ColourPop eyeshadow palettes and decided to bite the bullet and finally make an order. 10 days have passed from the moment I've placed the order until the not
